Lucila grew up in the Argentine countryside, in a small town a few hours outside of Buenos Aires. Like nearly every Argentine child, Lucila loved eating alfajores, and couldn’t get enough of these delicious treats.
What are "alfajores"? Alfajores are traditional Argentine pastries made with two delicate, melt-in-your-mouth cookies embracing a luscious dollop of creamy dulce de leche or caramel.
Lucila started baking her authentic, artisanal alfajores when she moved to Chicago. Her fond memories of the mouth-watering aroma of alfajores swirling through her childhood home, inspired her to start baking for her children. And their friends. And neighbors. And neighbors’ friends. And neighbors’ friends’ friends.
The word spread; the love grew; and a pastry business blossomed.
After several years of hard work and dedication, she realized her branding was not up to the quality of her "alfajores" so she got in touch with Bunker asking for a rebranding. Obviously alfajores are very familiar to us so it wasn't such a hard task.
We mainly based on the cookies own texture, and dulce de leche consistency and made drafted some illustrations about it, always remembering Lucila´s most important trait: Love, sharing her love. Thus ilustraciones and images are calid and strong. A high-contrast palette mixes with the intense smell of a home-made escenario and a memorable logo.
So taste the love that goes into every bite.
